For those of my fellow Hitchcock admirers or you moviegoers who saw this masterpiece, what was your reaction to this scene and the movie overall? I remember seeing it when I was a lot younger and though it was already about a couple decades old it was still shocking and I was just frozen for those sixteen seconds when poor Janet Leigh was cut open.
This singular scene first shown in 1960 changed cinema forever.
The editing and the direction was - and still is today - absolutely breathtaking. No one can even come close to touching it!
