the controversial teapot

As it turns out my bringing up The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins has ignited a highly controversial, yet insanely exciting and very deep discussion on the existence of God and the accountability of religion historically and contemptorarily, in the online community I frequent (my name there is Intrepid Homoludens). I went into it primarily in terms of the nature of ethics and moral accountability for many of the world's horrors, atrocities, and apathies. What I set myself out to do was quite a succes - to spark dialogue, thought, inquiry, and hopefully enlightenment. Not surprisingly I managed to raise consciousness, eyebrows, and wrath. But I did get people thinking, no matter how uncomfortably.
